Fitted small reg plate, Adjusted & cleaned & oiled chain, reduced tyre pressure to 32F34R seems to be ok !
So the postman dropped off this today. Super excited to get it fitted and test it out. I must say the quality of it is impressive.
Not the bike but the leathers. Been living with some wear in the knees that my Stomp Grips did before I removed them. Had a local specialist replace the panel on the left knee. £65 well spent. Before After
Fitted a PCV yesterday. Wow, how smooth my bike is now without it being dyno'd yet. I had an annoying flat spot c.3-4k, which is proper smooth now. It's given the QS a nice sound and my exhaust has a deeper tone too. Can't wait to see the difference once dyno'd. Wallets gonna be £250 lighter when I do Chin
I have the same problem in my older leathers, who repired them? Have you got rid of your stomps now them, if so what you using now?
I used https://www.lincsrepair.co.uk/ in Lincoln. On the 2 piece it was caused by the stomp grips I had on the road bike for a few years until I replaced them with Eazi Grips. I'd lived with the damage until it got a bit breezy and time to sort it. I still have stomp grips on the track bike and now the 1 piece is going the same way. The guy said he can make up velcro backed patches that I use while the leather is still ok. I just need to drop the 1 piece off to have the velcro added to the suit after Cadwell this Friday.
Getting the carbon fibre bug. Installed some tank infills and homemade heel guards: Heel guards were cut out of an A4 sheet of carbon from the Bay (£6.00) using an angle grinder. Goes well with my exhaust me thinks! Chin

I did a little job on Tigger last night and ended up being in the garage till 0100 I really shouldn't have started at 11pm to be fair. I thinks to myself that I will take off the throttle tube and give the bar and inside of the tube a good clean and spray some dry lube....ahead of hopefully sometime getting back to finish the remap after the exhaust got the Cat removed. As it turns out there was just not enough slack to either slip the tube off the bar, or tease a cable out of the tube so I ended up with the tank up, electrics out of the way and the air-box out. So slacked off at the throttle body and managed to free one cable then the other and got the grip tube off. It was a bit gunky and will benefit from a good clean and some dry lube... All good so far. Then I thinks, well I might as well put a few drops of oil down the cables to clean them and make sure they are good since I am here anyway. That's when I get a rather nasty pain in my finger as a tiny frayed piece of cable sticks into me when removing at the throttle body end!!! I couldn't believe it as the cable looks brand new and the bike only has 5800 miles on it and has lived inside all its life and never been taken out in the rain (with the exception of being caught in rain). It was the return cable but its right at the end of the adjustment assembly so could very well be a contributor to my jerky on off throttle from closed position Went on to Fowlers last night (well early morning) and they have no stock and showing both cables on back order Eventually St Google leads me to AS3 Performance and a set of Venhill cables so put them on order. Hopefully they will be decent enough quality but they are only about 2/3rds cost of OEM Honda ones. Does anyone have any experience of their cables, all I can find on the forum is people using their brake lines...
I've an AS3 Performance Venhill clutch cable on mine. I don't think it's as smooth as OEM, but it does look good in Power Ranger blue. I've lubed it twice now, but still feels like it's chaffing against something. It doesn't return properly and when I adjust it to return, it's too hard to pull in. I've adjusted it at the handlebar and worm drive end too. Chin

Hopefully, it was just my set that were duff?, but that's just my current experience with them. I originally wanted HEL ones to go with my braided brake lines, but HEL don't do cables. I do hope yours come up trumps! Chin
Blade and I went in to the dealership yesterday for annual service and wallet emptying day. Full service, fitted HEL lines, new fluid and pads, new front wheel bearings, and an MOT for dessert. and it’s always a stinger when you get down to the labour cost line on the invoice The old girl is now at 14k so I think next year is going to be the big (even more) spenny 16k Brakes felt a good bit sharper on the way home (though it was in the rain so I was being gentle!) but I’m sure there’s now a rattle coming from somewhere round the front fairing will investigate out on the road properly when the sun reappears.
