Hi Folks, I have a 2019 Blade and I'm just wondering if any of you have had the 2 year brake fluid replacement service done by a dealer? Need to know how much the mortgage application needs to be for

That depends on if it has ABS or not. No ABS is just a standard shafting if it’s an ABS it’s one hell of a shafting.

EDIT - My bad, didn’t notice the year sorry. The pre 2017 took hours to sort even after Honda developed a ‘faster method‘

It should be relatively cheap - from what I understand it's just a conventional bleed on 2017 onwards (Bosch System)

They are all ABS 2017 onwards. It should be just part of a routine service if due, and a quick job. Bosch system is totally different to earlier Honda Combined ABS (Pre 2017)

It can be done by yourself in under 3 hours (for first timers) and more experience people, it's relatively straight forward & it should significantly less.

Why not do it yourself? Grab the Service Manual, read that page and review a couple of YouTube and off you go.

Ah thanks Arthur, i enjoy doing my own maintainence usually , i can do the straightforward stuff like swapping pads, oil & filter changes etc but heard nightmare stories about the brake fluid bleed but now i know its on the pre 17 blades I might give it a whirl. Took it for the 12 month dealer service last week at Padgetts in Batley, they did a good job and showed me everything they had done, even though there isn't that much to do on the second service at 3500 miles! £200.

2017-19 blade is normal bleed; mine was done at the 16000mile big service all fluid changed with valve clearance plugs and filter at Southampton crescent Honda for 600quid ish; I had bleed the brake since then and if it’s just that then DIY it
