OK another buy from Costco but bought this

    In short,
7” Color LCD monitor with built-in wireless receiver and video recorder
Built-in Video recorder utilizes SD memory cards (max 16GB supported)
Record when motion is detected by the camera, schedule a daily recording time or manually start / stop recording**
Date stamped recordings saves time by making event searching simple
Record at VGA (640 x 480) resolution for excellent playback quality or QVGA (320 x 240) resolution to maximize recording time

for £180 including VAT last week for work. Not yet put it up but after looking at what it's going for on Amazon and such like at £299 or there abouts its a good price

Once I have installed it in work I will most probably be getting one for the garage, garden and have the monitor next to the PC

Thanks guys... :D No mate never heard of the system you have listed but many many many on the market now...! Seen some real cheap systems give better results than those of twice the price!

The rule of thumb with CCTV is your better off capturing something than nothing! Use one cam to get images of face's and others to capture reg marks and entrance etc.. Think of the location i.e sun and shade! Try to keep cams low enough to get good images with fixed lenses but high enough to be out of arms reach. Hide your DVR! Get a cheap UPS to power it when mains fails... :)

Personally i wouldn't use a wireless system, if you have wireless broadband it can interfere, plus you pay twice as much for half the quality. I have an 8 channel system, cameras are 600TVL 50m night vision, with a DVR that will record for a month continually. I can view the cameras anywhere in the world as long as I have internet access. Plus view on my blackberry/Iphone. The system I have cost me about £1000 and a day fitting the cameras and hiding the cables.
Check these out, really helpful people. You can get a system for £250
