    I want a fuel gauge.
It's probably the cabin fever effect of lockdown but it seems like a good idea.
    In theory it's simple.
Measure the pressure head and use a single chip CPU to translate into litres to drive a display.
(By a table of course as the tank shape is hardly linear.)
But I need access to gravity only pressure fuel...

Not having anything more than pictures I can't tell but maybe one of you knows.
Is there space on the inside that plastic fuel pump housing thing to take a 10.2mm
hole drilled from below and a slim nut? That lets me directly fit a pressure transducer.
I want the nut because the plastic looks a bit soft to just tap it.
Basically is it worth buying one to modify or do I need a different idea?

    Specifically for a 2015 bike.

No help here but, you pay all that money for a bike and they do not fit a gauge, I am sure Honda would be able to fit one into the display for a couple of pounds,
I am very interested as I would also like a gauge.

<shrug> It's got all sorts of clever systems to warn you you're on reserve and count miles since the fill
but I like simple minded. Something I can glance at and mentally say
    I'm good or Oh shit.

    0.0-0.5 = I'm good
0.5 and above = Oh shit!

I'm OK with travelling 25 miles in reserve, ran out out on the M4 to work this out!

Right. I found a relatively inexpensive fuel pump assembly on Ebay so I've ordered it to investigate drilling the right hole.
    This project is under way.
Now I need to decide on a display style...

Not really. I need to strip things down a long way to be sure that my choice of pressure sensor and mounting point won't foul anything.

and I'm feeling particularly lazy atm.

No worries, good luck with a cure for the laziness. I have been struggling with that one but always seem to find energy when I should be heading off to bed, then end up staying up way too late and the cycle begins again next day....

Look forward to seeing a working prototype ;)
