Thanks all. It’s a 2019, the dealers demo bike. Only 298 miles on it so it’s not run in yet. Today was way colder than I thought and I got caught in the rain coming home on it, so yet to have fun (apart from the test ride a couple of weeks ago)
My mate fletch has one something called "the beast" 1600 miles m9rr fucked its a hoon, he also has a gt. I'm thinking a 3rd bike for me when work is back to normal.
The first thing I noticed coming back home on M11/M25 was the wind blast....but I soon got used to it. Also on a more serious note it meant I had to keep the speed waaaay down (80mph'ish) - on the way up to the dealer I was in 3 figures a lot , just so easy on the Blade
get yourself to Lidl and buy the garden leaf blower/vac for £35 . that frame is a right pain to dry after washing @hitch . I've just got one as I could never be arsed with my 2t one as it always needs a kettle to run . (it is prod 30 years old my fad used it to dry my old kx 250/500 . wish I'd got this Lidl beauty years ago it drugs the bike in its than a couple of mins .
Good tip, I actually use a pet dryer that I got off of amazon for 49 quid (I think). It’s identical to the “motorcycle dryer” but about 60 quid cheaper. I’ve already used it; got absolutely drenched on the motorway yesterday and the bike was all covered in what looked like milk ...you’re right that without the blower it would be a nightmare.
Just done a very similar thing. 2019 ex demo Superduke today with 271 miles. The 7th fireblade ive owned but not enjoying the rides as much and ive had a SD before and loved it, so the PX was done, puck it up next week. Enjoy
Nice. It’s not any cheaper, I’ve already lined a load of Powerparts kit and other stuff to buy Don’t forget the pics when you get it
I use my air compressor to blow off excess water. I will say saw "the beast today" dear old mate just jet washes it an puts it away, the bolt allen star torq fixings do look bad. but I guess most bike would if you didn't coat them with somekind of water protection.
Evotech goodies fitted today... Tail tidy Exhaust hanger and rectifier guard Evotech stuff is very well made I must say, never used it before but it is very well thought out and exceptionally well engineered. Crappy pics though
