Well after 9 weeks of waiting due to Covid working restrictions at AR my exhaust finally arrived and I got it fitted along with some Brembo calipers to give me a bit more stopping power (and bling..). I appreciate it's probably not everyone's cup of tea as it is side mounted but I was never a fan of the underslung one... it's noisy without the baffle (110 ish at 5500, but with the baffle in it was reading 102.7 so will be good for Silverstone next week and the louder tracks! (although being a proper southerner I usuallyonly venture as far north as Donny) ... I'm made up with it! the infill panel is a bit of a letdown but hey ho... I'll put up with it for now... Took it for it's first ride today (to work again - can't remember the last fun ride I had) but it sounds great, not too loud but does encourage you to hold gears longer
Nice . Might sound like a stupid question but is the Arrow GP2 exhaust road legal in the uk with the baffle in?
Bollocks, cheers. Can’t be bothered to keep swapping the standard van every time it goes in for its MOT
Should be OK for MOT... if it says for race use only anywhere just put a sticker on it as they are not allowed to remove it... don't think bikes are tested for noise still unless stupid loud...
My bike is ridiculous loud, but been going to the same tester for years. Always get a noisy advisory every year, but bike passes everytime. Chin
Mine even told me to leave the baffle out next time on the Racefit, if it's a proper bike garage, you won't have any trouble. If it's one of those MOT only garages you'll probably get someone doing it by the book.
So it turns out that despite blowing 103 at 5500rpm, when tested after the first session today at Silverstone it blows 111 at 7500rpm... so I had to go home :-( expensive 30 mins!!! So its standard can for trackdays unless I can miraculously lose 6db!!! Still love the can just a tad frustrated today...
thanks dude! Yeah was a proper shitter.. AR are going to see if they can do anything but i'm not too hopeful... Oh well.... Still a lovely can... On the plus side, my first time on track with the blade and it feels good... Doesn't have the mental acceleration of the R1 but my first session is always a rusty, wobbly and braking very early affair and I got within 3.5 seconds of my best R1 time so I was doing ok... Just a shame the next track day will be with that 10 tonne original lump attached!
