That's lovely!! Brings back memories... My dad bought me one of these for my 16th bday... 355 of 500... Second in the country. 354 was on the derbi stand at the nec!
Nice that! If I were a lad now I may wish for this.... A mile slower than the RS125 but very cool! (shame Honda had to turn the CBR into a VFR!) The RW7 CBR125 is the better looking bike imo.
Yeah, lovely Arthur... I don't like the old cbr, look too dinky! Think the Italians do little bikes better, but that new honda is niiice!
I still think if I were 17 and it came to a toss up, I'd have this. In fact, I think I'll have a toss up now.
Hell no, Im to blame for all my lame jokes, and extracts of texts from friends. I'd like to finish work early enough to watch the one show.
Jo hasn't rode it much and new to riding, so hard for her to say. Been so long since I rode a small bike, hard to say how compares tbh
I would want to know what my old man (because that is the only way i would have one) was doing spending all that money on a 125? When i could buy a CG, pass my test, sell it, buy a restricted CB500S, CBR 600, ZX7R, or summat and still have enough spare change for a european tour. Nice looking bike tho, shame they are not bikes restricted down from 20 odd bhp any more, the engines aren't designed to make much more power than they already do. Gone are the days of locking open the powervalve and fitting a proper Spannie and getting over 20 bhp, for a while, but what a time eh? Plus you get to learn how to strip and rebuild a 2 stroke when it goes bang!
Wasn't a 125 mate, it was a 50cc for my 16th birthday... And de-restricted I used to get 60mph out the old girl... Know what you mean, about other bikes, but I sold it, bought a rd350, swapped that for a fzr400, sold that for a mint (still own) bought a brand new r6, then a spanking blade... So not done bad in the 7 years ive been riding on and off!!
I tryed to get my son to sit on one at Grantham Honda, "what do I want to sit on that for, I want a car DONT A" I would have spun cart wheels if I was given one of those. It is noteworthy thought that I got a TS50ER when I was 16 and it was the bect bike I could have at the time, the best bhiking time of my life even restricted to 35-40.
