So after a low speed off at Snetterton a few weeks ago, replaced broken rearsets, removed exhaust flap, servo motor and o2 sensor. Removed PAIR system. Bought the wrong slip-on exhaust from ebay to replace my damaged Akra can. Didnt have the heart to ask for a refund as i haggled him down to £350 (Akra titanium special edition + link pipe for 14/16 blade mine is an 09!!!) Got the bike back together and took her for a shakedown run to check all is well......

It wasnt! forgot to locktight gear selector! minor drama ensues at speed. Home for change of pants and get the tools back out. Locktight the new rearsets.

Few days later....100 miles in the seat and no issues. Home for beer and marvel at my mechanical prowess.

The next sunny day. Pop out for a little fun and loose gear selector toe peg. It was There when i went for 3rd! AIR when i went for 4th. Another brown pants moment. Home for obligatory pants change. Tools and locktight out again. I seriously thought i had locktighted (is that even a word?) everything!!

This morning. Up early checked all fixings. Happy. Fancy dress as Power Ranger, check! Out for long ride with my brother. Stop for tea and wee. Then just as we get back out on the roads again my rear seat cowl comes off on a slip road. I didnt put it back on properly. Luckily my brother was behind and able to retrieve it for me. Most of the scratches have polished out.

Could always be worse. I will keep on smiling. So thats my first (proper) post. Still cant upload pics. Workin on it!

Pic tip..... Does it say file to large?

Screenshot the pic and upload the cropped screenshot, before you post it, click on 'full image' then it will be displayed in all it glory rather than a thumbnail. ;)

    These things happen.
Last month I had to take a guy back to the scene where his pillion seat fell off where he hadn't pressed down hard enough after a fuel stop.
On track in the last month so far I've lost a set of axel bobbins, a couple of tail fairing bolts, side fairing came loose and at Donny this week my gear selector came off during the sighting laps.

Bikes just have a tendency to shake themselves apart. Just do what you can to keep them in one piece. I've since resorted to adding thread lock and nylon nuts.

Like the pipe but I’m not sure about the black infill either. Have you got a picture without it for comparison?
