Genuine OEM Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade energy gel seat p/no 08F82-MFL-800 for sale.

VERY hard to come by these day but it makes a significant improvement in comfort over the stock seat and comes with the embossed CBR logo.

It is in superb condition (looking as good as new) having only been used for only 250 miles (I’ve selling as I no longer have my blade).

    £150 + postage

Far too much money. And not hard to come by, quite a few for sale on a regular basis on here.

First post and trying to rip people off, not good form.
1/2 that price and you might get away with it.

Thank you for the feedback, you make an interesting point. Without wanting to go into my moral character, I thought I would share my basis for this pricing to provide some context.

I heard great things about these e-cushion seats and decided to buy one and given the high price of them new, and after an extended hunt around for a good used example my experience was that they are not so easy to come by (not even on this excellent forum). So accepting that I would not find a used one without waiting some time, I went ahead and bought this one.

It was unboxed in June 2020, used for 250 miles and then taken off my 2014 blade in July when I sold the motorbike.

Considering it was a £300+ seat that was as good as new, a £80+ saving felt reasonable. The cheapest new examples I can find are all from the US and £324+). I have not been able to find any used examples currently for sale on the internet, with used seats popping up roughly once a year:
    £175 May-19 Used www.1000rr.co.uk
    £182 May-18 Used www.picclick.co.uk
    £150 Apr-16 Used www.1000rr.co.uk
    £140 Dec-15 Used www.1000rr.co.uk

    And these damaged items:
    110 Sep-18 Used - rusty nails www.1000rr.co.uk
    150 Nov-17 Used - small scuffs www.1000rr.co.uk

Maybe its priced too high, maybe e-cushion seats are incredibly easy to pick up for £110, maybe they're not actually as comfortable as everyone makes out. There may be plenty of opinions on my posting, that is fine, we're all entitled to an opinion and that should be respected.

P.S. Let me know if you're interested in purchasing my OEM Honda tank bag, I'll give you a special price............

I bought mine off a guy on the forum for £150 and I collected it so no postage in that. It was as new.
Folks know they can get the same for around that price so I think that's why people are thinking you're optimistic with that value.
Good luck with selling, it but they do come up on forums and sm often enough that if you are patient you'll pick one up for around the prices I've mentioned.

To be fair, you were onto a non-starter registering an account on here just to try to punt your unwanted seat (if indeed the thing even exists). People tend to buy off the forum based on reputation as there's little or no comeback if the deal goes south.

If you want to sell stuff may I suggest,

Thanks for the helpful contribution Lozzy, I'll revise my ad.

BoroRich, I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "if indeed the thing even exists", but given my earlier comment about not getting into my moral character, I will gloss over it and focus on your other comments. I agree with you, people do buy based on trust, and if i had the forethought it would have certainly served me better to register my account a couple of years ago when I purchased my CBR and started reading this forum. With that said, I came to this forum to read and learn from other owners & enthusiasts with a similar passion for all things CBR1000RR related, not to sell a seat. Let's remember, I posted an advert offering something for sale, no one is obliged to assume me a reputable seller, buy my item or even respond to the advert so the fact it has caused some such offence does surprise me.

As an aside, I absolutely loved my CBR1000RR, the only reason i sold it was due to back surgery and the need for a more comfortable riding position. I wish you all well on this forum, but hope that other newbies who raise their heads from the parapets are met with a warmer welcome, not everyone gets things right first time and surely friendly advise is a better starting point than assuming the worst. Happy & safe riding all.

    david,
I think from the responses, the members have no intention to offend nor question your integrity you but merely highlight the way your post could be perceived.
How about introducing yourself in the "new members" section first and mentioning your location.
Coming on to the sale, maybe someone can make you an cheaper offer and collect in person.
I would be interested but unfortunale my current budget doesn't allow me:(
