It didn't come up in the meeting !! hmmm I might be busy nailing my bollocks to the back door that day
Yoshimura Indicators. Had these just over a month now. A bit of a back story to entertain you The day after I picked up the blade from it’s valve clearance service, I took it to work. Nice ride in, empty roads, bike felt great etc Went to park up, ignition off, start getting off bike, start thinking “blimey, the lean angle on the side stand seems to be steeper than normal” before the dreaded realisation comes in that I’ve forgotten to put the side stand down. Too late, I can’t save this so I wedge myself in between the floor and bike as much as I can to save the bike. Whilst doing so, I accidentally knock into the 2018 GSA parked next to me which takes that off its side stand, but luckily it’s parked up next to the wall and still had hard panniers on (so it ends up leaning against the wall). The owner of the GSA was completely fine and laughed when I told him what happened Blade has gone over now, probably in the best way it could’ve. Get out from underneath and get the bike upright and back on it’s stand quick as a flash to save embarrassment. No visible (new) mark on the bike which I’m chuffed with. Just a very small amount of coolant leaked out of the expansion tank. .....then later on during lunch, decide to start the bike up and do a quick function test. Unfortunately, had lost the use of the rear indicators, how, I don’t know. Checked all connectors etc and all intact. So it went into the workshop and yep, they were Kaput. Being a bit skint after the valve clearance service, my plan was to put the stock indicators back on from the box of stock parts I’d received with the bike. As luck would have it, everything else was there (original licence plate holder, exhaust etc) but no indicators. Came across the Yoshimura ones and they looked pretty decent And my bike is covered in Yoshi bits so I thought I’d give it a punt. They had sequential ones as well but at £50 more, I was good. All seem good (not that I’ve used the bike much). Bright and low profile. I would say the lesson learnt is be careful and don’t drop your bike but I always seem to find a way too haha.
That's a bloody weird one...not dropping it, I've done that numerous times, but the indicators packing up. Those replacements are nice though so all good even if it cost you a few quid.
Yeah, I was completely lost as well as to why they went. It was a shame as they were a tidy pair of Rizoma ones which were near on flush to the 7x5 plate. All sorted now though and I might even take it out for a spin this weekend!
Been ticking off items on my track bike build. Thought I would share this aftermarket (CN) high rear cover test fitted today... it's actually a very good fit ... and solid. Pleasantly surprised
