They left the first couple so now it's free reign. It isn't for our consumption. Once it is up they just keep requesting google et al to re-crawler the site so they reinforce their key words to their link address. This will continue until the google algorithm decides it sees the repetitions and marks us as 'unsafe' and then you can't be found even by people searching on 'our' words.
Just put the spammers name in your - People To Ignore- Found in your settings, (Must be logged in) and no more nonsense posts. Works a treat
Give the bastard a downvote as well - three and the post cannot be read. I have gone through and given a couple of hundred downvotes - been through and downvoted them all. Not sure if that will achieve anything ....
I still think spammers should be kicked off, non forum members must be thinking WTF when they browse the site.
I didn’t know that about the downvote I have had a couple off one person lately and I don’t know why I have just ignored them
If a single post receives the three downvotes then the message narrative disappears from view. I don't normally give downvotes but have to do something to defend the forum against an enemy. Not sure why you received a downvote unless someone teasing you !
Sometimes it can be a mistake as the Downvote is near the edge of the screen on mobiles and can be accidentally clicked during scrolling.
