I just picked up my new 18 CBR and have set the TC to 0. I see that it resets back to 1 every time I stop/start. Is this normal or am I doing something stupid?
I've never moved mine from 3 since I got it so no idea mate sorry It still let's it slip a little before cutting in and it still let's me hover the front wheel off the ground for some serious distance when accelerating hard so just left it where it is. Prob laziness on my part for not experimenting enough
Yes this behaviour is by design. I have a tune that hits so hard in first you'll be looking for TC as the tire spins up on a rollon through 6500rpm
Oh dear, this is going to become really annoying. Just like the Panigale I just sold, I only used TC on my first ride until I figured out how to switch it all off. Why does it spin the rear wheel, shouldn't it wheelie or do you need a new rear tyre?
Spins the tire because it hits so hard in 1st and 2nd compared to the stock and other tuner tunes. Also understand the new throttle by wire bikes are designed with the intention of engaging TC as a speed enhancing tool allowing the rider to be more demanding on the throttle and getting more power to the ground quicker. Hell there is an entire section of the HRC ECU dedicated to extremely nuanced TC that will allow much better drive out of turns and acceleration than was ever possible with the analog bikes.
