Everyone seems to think Zarco drifted off the racing line which left Franco nowhere to go. If the look at the pictures though, there is a lot of rubber and dark lines on that part of the track and I don't think he was as far out as anyone else goes. If you look at the moment of impact, there are a couple of big black lines or skid marks where the tyres have left rubber on the track. They are maybe a foot or two off line. Franco just got sucked in .....simple as that. Seriously don't think Zarco did anything wrong on this occasion or with that sour faced whingeing little turd Pol Espagaro.....really gone off him
These pictures will verify what I've said....not saying I'm in the right but its just the way I see it. First off.....both bikes on line with where all the rubber is laid down at point of impact. next.....the skid marks left by the tyres at point of impact. marginally off line but as we know not all riders take the same line and at this speed corrections are not always possible given the forces involved.
So maybe it was just a bit of slipstream putting Frankie a bit faster in to the braking zone, definitely think it was just a racing incident though and without the near miss to Rossi etc we wouldn't be talking about it. Would seem to indicate as others have said that the bend needs a bit of work. As for Pol it does seem he is turning in to a right whinging twat. OK he's been taken out a few times but he needs to learn how to move on when the other rider offers a genuine apology and stop holding a grudge.
So Zarco has a pit lane start as a penalty tomorrow, bit harsh I think but there again Race Control does seem to be quite strong this year, just look at all the cancelled laps they hand out.
Another unbelievable result...... This season is something else!!!! 20 year wait for Tech 3..... Wow!
I wonder what is going on with the gravel traps this year - have they changed something ? We have seen riders injured after falling off in the gravel - including Marc Marquez. And now we have seen another bike carry on at speed - completely upright - through the gravel trap without it slowing down in the slightest. I wonder if they wanted gravel traps to be less of a trap, so that riders could carry on easier in the event that they should go wide and ride through it. Seems odd.
I am surprised we have not heard any car horns round here when Portugal won the footie a few years ago the Portuguese lads were driving around tooting their car horns waving flags - loads of them ! Didn't hear any of that today .....
Everyone likes football in Portugal... Football is number 1, and number 2 is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay behind. Motorsports are not even in the Top10...
No brakes, “I’ll get my coat” (decision implemented at 147 mph) Touchdown at 140 mph And if he’d stayed on .........that’s impact at 100 mph MV I salute you and your massive gonads.
I have seen Haslem do it as well How lucky was he with his foot Watch it again and look at his foot Lucky man
Have to laugh at Dovi's leathers. He has Unemployed across his arse Seems he does have a sense of humour after all.
I’m sorry but I can’t be bothered to read through all the thread But why the f### do the riders when the camera is on them wind their fingers up as much to say f### off I’m embarrassed Don’t they know that the cameras pay their wages Except your sh## and you have come off and the camera wants to film you in the pits. Wave , say hello and except your position I’m off Bye
