Hi All, I've just bought an Akrapovic Titanium slip on off forum member @Andyberg and its superb, exactly as advertised, cheers Andy. Only problem is he didn't have some of the fittings with it that you need to fit to the right hand footpeg to get the spacing right. I have the means to get the parts machined at work but I need to know the exact dimensions, is there anyone here with the same exhaust that could help me please. This is the model of slip on, I think they all have the same fittings for the footpegs on the 2014-2016 fireblades. From this schematic I specifically need the dimensions of items 10, 11 and 12. Has anybody ever tried to deal with Akrapovic over spare parts? I will email them the same details and see if they can help. No doubt they'll just want to sell me the parts for a fortune. Thanks in advance. Charlie.
The parts I need dimensions for are also fitted to the Akrapovic GP megaphone slip on aswell. If anybody with one of them can help? @Lozzy They are numbers 8, 9 and 11 on this schematic
To me it looks like P-DR74 is the only one you need to be accurate, the other two are just washers in essence that you could have your machinist at work make a stab at trial and error wise. Found this if it’s of any use https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Akra-was...946922?hash=item3da1d2b9aa:g:MIoAAOSwewpezzIV
Yes I found that also, expensive isn't it! Yes I think I could get it pretty close if I just use my vernier on the footpeg to get the diameter and depth of the hole. I think the 2 washers P-DR2 are 5mm in depth but it would be good to confirm this. I may end up just doing my best with the measurements on the footpeg if nobody can help. Be handy if someone has all the spacers on their bike and has a vernier to measure them up for me though.
Oh gawd @CharlieR85 I replied before I'd read the thread and now I have I don't have a clue what I'm doing lol....if you can wait a few days I'll ask a man mate who does and will have that tool and get back to you
I have the same exhaust on mine, I'll have a look in the morning. Item 11, is just a 5mm thick spacer with an M8 center, 20mm OD, nothing special.
Thanks very much mate. That would be very much appreciated. Is that 20mm OD your measured value? I'll change my drawing if it is, I approximated it to be 18mm.
I've just used some of these for similar purposes. 10mm ones to space out my exhaust hanger. And some 3mm ones to take up a bit of space for the single exhaust bolt if you get my meaning. They come in all lengths and various centre hole sizes.
Sorry, I got called to work this morning but I have just managed to check the sizes now. PDR2 spacer is 5mm thick, 20mm OD and M8 center. PDR13 spacer is 5mm thick, 32mm OD and M8 center (No chamfered edge) PDR14 - Very similair to your drawing except the following changes - 2mm rather than 3mm / 21mm rather than 20mm /29.7mm rather than 30mm/ M8 center. Remember the centers are M8 centers are actually 8.4mm to allow clearance for the 8mm bolt. I suppose you are aware item 11 (PDR2) is the spacer that goes between the frame and the rearset to move it 5mm further out so the exhaust can clear the swingarm.
