After the idiots did the "let's have a last party weekend" trick I would be very surprised if it doesn't happen again before much longer. Probably be locally based but then the twats will just ignore it and start travelling to go to pubs/ckubs/parties.
Sorry but I can't say I blame them, its a load of crap now if you ask me. We need to just get on with it. Until those nightingale hospitals are spilling over with dead bodies I'm not listening to anymore bollocks.
Life is just that at the minute. We need to live too! I’m pretty blasé about it all but then I’m only 21
So until we have another 75,000+ deaths to add to the 44,000 already you won't worry? I hear Honda may have some cheap c-abs blades available if you are willing to just ride at 70mph towards a brick wall a few times to test them
No I won't worry about it. Its really not the indiscriminate killer its been built up to be in my opinion. Each to their own though pal.
Totally going off topic with this convo but I’m actually really interested to hear; how many people do you personally know whom have sadly succumbed to COVID-19? Just Covid, meaning they were fit/healthy/etc prior to developing symptoms? I only ask as I, like @CharlieR85 do believe it’s been hyped up, I’m not saying people haven’t succumbed, I’m not saying it’s not there. I’m saying it’s been blown up. Imo. I wear a mask, I wash my hands, I keep my distance because I don’t want to be the carrier of it (and also, I’ve got underlying health issues), but I only know one person who passed away (from kidney failure) but it was listed as COVID. Just looking into what the rest of the country is like, as we have a diverse group in here.
It was never claimed to be an indiscriminate killer. It kills the elderly and or the sick. Fit and healthy people generally don't even show symptoms which is why its so dangerous. The young and fit then share it amongst themselves at the pubs clubs and then all go home and as they feel great and think this is all bollocks they pass it onto their own granny or their friends granny and they DO die. The 'im alright Jack attitude' can be a dangerous one. I understand that attitude totally, I agree we need to keep the world going but we do need to show respect to others who are at risk from you and me alike as we are the potential 'spreaders' Anyway let's stick to talking bollocks about fireblades
I've just spent the late afternoon cleaning my blade as it was a bit hot to be putting leathers on. Spotted my first stone chip on the rear wheel and loads of minor (very small) scuffs to the bottom of the undertray area of the fairing. She ain't a new baby anymore, gutted
Don't be saying that. I'm being very good and saving my pennies for the next year. No big lavish purchases. If I can stick to it I might be able to retire the start of 2022 so I shall just have to cosset what I have. That said the sun is shinning this morning so I feel my clean and shiny blade is very likely to be covered in dead flies by the end of the day
Well the sun shone and out we went. After 20 minutes a damned fly got inside my helmet so lifted the visor, turned my head to blow it out doing about a ton and one of the stupid tear off post blew away so iwas left with a small hole in the visor This then produced the highest pitch whistle you could imagine, I couldn't hear the engine at all and done my head in Then on the way home my beer belly decided to try and escape my leathers with the front zip bursting open ffs ! I couldn't then get the zip up or down so had to ride 40 miles home with the leathers belowing like a mad thing. Jeez I must have looked a right bloody state but I can confirm it was a lot cooler riding this way. So put a small screw and nut through the visor hole so hopefully that should sort that but leathers is going to have to be Xmas pressie I think. All this just because I said above I didn't want any big expenditures
