Hi all. Just bought a 2012 blade after selling my 2014 last winter. I am looking at slip on exhaust. What’s the difference between 2012-2013 and 2014-2016 fitment. Is it the o2 sensor is at the slip on side ? I had a race fit on my last one and was looking at the same for my 2012 but need to get the correct one. Does anyone know if any exhausts for sale atm
The 2014 model has a 60mm silencer connector outlet, the Cat and O2 sensor are part of the headers, I'm not too sure about the 2012 model but it may be 50mm header, best you check that first.
08-13 50mm headers 14-16 60mm headers if a seller states 08-16 check the size of the link pipe first. It will NOT fit 08-16 whatever they say. If you have your slipon there from your 14 model, perfect to see what i mean, try it, will have the big gap around link pipe/header. Sometimes can get away with just needing a link pipe. for 2008>13 the O2 sensor is fitted on the sulencer where the CAT is located (2014 has it in the downpipe) Prices for new are very high (£1300+!!) You can buy second hands once on Ebay from about £50. Just make sure the internal cable operated valve is there & working properly (although many people disconnect it). The finish is terrible. Budget for blast cleaning to remove surface rust and high temp coating. I went through this excercise last month but had it ceramic coated for durability
