Just curious for how many miles things last in general when doing ‘Normal Riding’ (so not track days). Such as front and rear tyres, front and rear brake pads, chains, sprockets, etc

Obviously, there are many after market options so let’s stick with OEM parts for the purposes of this exercise. However, I’d be interested to know what people are replacing said with if not OEM.

My 2016 has done about 4500 miles. Rear tyre was replaced when I picked it up as it had been squared off rather than run out of tread and the original front is going to need changing in the next few hundred but everything else appears fine. I’ll get a better look at the front pads when the wheel is out and I strip/clean the callipers.

IMO this is almost the same as how long is piece of string.
    Your total riding weight
Your riding style: ON/OFF or smooth & progressive
Your routes: high speed motorwar, congestes traffic, A/B roads with good bends
The state of regular maintenance Tyre pressure, chain slack...
In my case my weight is on the low side, I plan A/B roads and avoid congestion or motorways, my tyre pressures are 1~2 PSI below recommended levels.
So after 16k, my chins has not even entered the green zone (I run my slack @ 30~33mm), brake pads have plenty of meat left. Tyres last around 5~5.5k (strangely front & rear wear are very similar!).
Except for tyres I intend to stay with OEM
No doubt there are other factors not mentioned; but then it would become as long as a piece of string:)

Spot on....my chains and tyres identical on both bikes but I ride the sp harder...lower gears more often etc etc. The slack needs taking up more and the tyres don't last as long....oil gets gobbled.... and that's just with a onky slight change in riding. The pads wont last as long either.
