Get plenty of them near the out-buildings. Am less friendly than you though as I trap and poison them. Had a shock the other day though when I opened a bait box and found a rat staring at me before he legged it faster than a Scouser in the Job Centre!
Had a field mouse hiding under my car when locking out industrial estate gate up. Tiny little thing, thought it was cute at first but after 10 mins pissing about on the floor trying to get it to move from under the car I was ready to steam roller the little git.
