I brought some Alpinestar GP pro gloves on Friday which fitted very tightly when I brought them, but this morning I thought I would put them on for a while to start and break them in and they are mega tight, it’s a struggle to get them on, and very tight indeed I am not sure if my hands were cold on Friday or I just took away the wrong pair.

My old pair of Dianese summer gloves fitted ok when I brought them but became very loose quickly, hence why I got a tight pair this time.

Can anyone give me advice on how much they will stretch as they soften/wear in as presumably my hands get bigger the warmer the weather.

    Thanks

i wear Alpinestar gloves, and to be honest when i got mine they were so tight they were uncomfotable and a nightmare to get on, but after a summer of wearing them they fit lovely now. I dont lose the feeling in my thumb anymore lol. They've given quite a lot, but only you know if you can bear them to be that tight to wait and see if they give enough.

    xx

Hi Freedom. You may have noticed a comment i made regarding thEse glove sizes (ie if you are large then you would need xl and if you normaly are xl then xxl would fit .These are a top glove take them back with packaging and go one up .BFN.

Well I'm always quite puffy first thing in the morning, which is why I wait until the last minute to put my make up on.

Unfortunately it's either take them back first / try another pair same size as there will be small size differences between pairs

    Or

Sweat will make em stretch but also if you buy some decent leather cleaner & conditioner you can apply the conditioner to each glove independently and then put them on and keep making fist shapes/grips. They'll give a little by doing that as the conditioner helps loosen the natural fibres so there's more play in them. can't remember the stuff I buy but will let you know

As Givover has mentioned, your have to get a size larger then normal when you buy Alpinestar gloves, normally i'm a large but both pairs of Alpine stair gloves i've bought, I have had to buy X Large.

It's not just the A Stars. I had to go for XL on my RST short summer gloves and the finger length is still a bit short for comfort so after a while on the handlebars my thumbs, index finger and the fleshy bit in between start to ache.

In the stylee of Blackadder " I have the hands of a woman".................steady!!
When I had some A Stars I needed large when all of my other gloves have been medium.
They still are a fantastic glove and if it wasn't for the new droids I'd be going back to them.

I have the same gloves......had the same issue.......sent them back for the XL size and fit OK.
I have to say though, worst gloves i have ever had.
The palm is almost worn through after a few months of use (steady Ken).

I wear gp pro's and highly recommend them. I have had mine for four years + and still have loads of life in them. They shouldnt be uncomfortable at the start as they dont give much. Sure you will love them when you get the right size.
