If he had not stolen the bike he would be alive today, Justice has been served, I have no feelings for the scum that stole the bike!
However I don't agree with all the dangers the driver he put other road users in while giving chase at stupid speeds without a care for anyone else but his bike, could have killed anyone doing that, including a motorcycle coming the way, mother and kids crossing the road, [IMG]
We have insurance for a purpose, best way is to keep your bikes locked away, after all, "out of sight, out of mind" is the best way to not get stolen in the first place, if stolen make sure you have a tracker, then track the barstewards down and sort it...or let the police do it

Pair of ' tarmac yer drive sir's....I shan't be losing any sleep.

Agree with Simon it was atrocious driving to get the end result but I'm sure with some police advanced driver training he could be more use in a Road Crime Unit somewhere tackling bike theft :)

Outpouring of sympathy in the replies.....not

Northumbria Police (@northumbriapol) Tweeted: A vigilante killer pursued a thief who stole his motorcycle, caused him to collide with a lamp post and then left him to die on the roadside.

Mihai Dinisoae has been jailed for 10 years for causing the death of Joshua Molloy in #Newcastle earlier this year.

I really feel for the bloke, given the time of day (5am) you'd imagine the risk to the public would have been reduced. Also the outcome could have been the same if the police were dishing out the "tactical contact." Think I'd get carried away aswell if I had the opportunity to stop someone stealing my property.

The justice system has gone to pot - everyone knows it and the proof is in these Twitter replies.

Good driving to be able to catch a motorbike, They should have hanged his body from the lamp post.
I bet if he had killed someone he would not have got 10 years

At least he won't be contributing towards the annual crime figures anymore.

I’d of loved to serve 10 years for the pleasure of getting rid of a scum bag that had stole my bike.
Go and get a job and buy your own like the rest of us.
    This country has gone soft

Reading through the twitter comments, I find it amazing that the so called law enforcement agency appear to sympathise with the thieves rather than look inward at their own incompetence and general publics lack of trust in them as to why a member of the public felt the need to persue criminals who were committing a live crime having just stolen his property.

They then compound their stupidity by trying to justify the outcome, and gut wrenchingly attempt to make the public believe that if the victim had called them at 5am in the morning they would have immediately responded and been on the scene to apprehend the perpetrators of the crime.

Clearly certain senior members of the Northumbrian Police Service appear that they will be sitting in their living rooms in the early hours of the 25th Dec awaiting a fat guy in a red outfit to appear from their chimney.

What a compete bunch of useless kunts being funded by hardworking law abiding citizens hard earned tax payments.

You only have to look at the punishment handed out to Jack Grealish this week for his driving offences to realise its how much fame and money you have, to how a Judge treats you, and not the offences you commit.

The best comment I remember was the one saying that the Police would not have reacted if they had been called by the owner because the only traffic offence the Police were interested in was speeding.

Just about sums up the disconnect between the Police and the Public.

    A patriotic medal

Seriously, the victim went too far. Is the punishment over the top? Absolutely.

But the real story here is the failure of the police and judiciary (plus the politicians) to deal properly with these crimes. Which is why people take the law into their own hands. If these scrotes had been locked up earlier, they would not have been able to commit this crime nor would they have been able to claim benefits whilst breeding. Locking these people up early in saves all grief and money.

If you make the sentences hard and long people would think twice thus reducing the amount of people in prison. the krays got life, why don’t other people.
Give a robber 20 years and you will see the chrome rate go down and the prisons empty.
Give them a slap on the wrist, a help with their rent, a new computer, mobile phone and food and they will carry on.
Makes me think about robbing everyone and enjoying my rewards

Problem is that life's idiots get all sympathetic about the criminal's rights. Then you get the it costs more to incarcerate than let free argument. If you add up the costs to society, the police and court costs bringing these cnuts before the courts time and time again, the welfare costs plus the cost of letting them breed, three strikes is by far and away the best policy.

so far I've had 2 bikes stolen . it hurt . it hurts still . the following 3 months I was really depressed . police were called at 7am when I realised a scene of crimes lady came and dusted for prints at 11.30 at 3.30 I got a call saying west yorkshire police would not be investigating any further and advised I keep a look out on e bay and gumtree . if I ever catch any one trying to steal my hard earned property I will go at them like a demon . I'll do the time if cought but one thing's for sure they won't be able to steal again . hard to nick stuff from a wheelchair with no hands. the justice system is fucked . not just bike theft but all the burglary . rape ect its fuck all a sentence. you take my bike I've worked years to save and trade up for well bang you get ten years labour . not 3 months playing pool using gym and taking drugs . I m happy the twats dead . more please.

Your wasting your time matey, I had a living room window broken by a lout , told him he will have to pay for it, and he told me to F**k off so I punched him, (he was 19), next thing his dad turns up , so he got it as well, then the Police turned up, took me down to the Station ,put me in a cell, sat there for a couple of hours , then they released me , telling me that the victims were not going ahead with the charge, told me to keep my nose clean, what a life eh
