I've finally picked up my bike! Absolutely buzzing. Not sure how I'm going to scratch this itch to ride untill March / April, I guess it's going to have to come in the form of mods and just standing in the shed ogling. Yes, I'm a fair weather rider and I'll take any abuse that comes with that.

So mods, I've searched the forum along with the rest of the web and I can't find anyone who does carbon, in a twill weave, with a matte finish. Any suggestions, or contacts? The first thing to go is the rear hugger, it just doesn't do anything for me. I would like to get a small stumpy hugger, and Ideally I would like to get a matching front fender.

On the Aprilia I ran without a chain guard. I don't mind the chain splatter as it's not to severe. Does anyone else run without one? I think it just helps show off the swingarms grace and helps the arse end look fatter .

Lastly, does anyone know the paint code for the red trim circled in blue? It's got a little scratch I need to hide.

For now that's it, I'm sure some other bits will crop up. IMG_20201220_201945.jpg

Can’t help with the carbon, but the paint will be Victory red code R334. Probably be quite tricky to get a good match as the original paint is designed to go on a base coat. Check out RS Bike Paint.

Thanks for that, I'll give them a call.

The only way to get the desired matte look I've found, is to buy what I want in a gloss finish, then get them rubbed back and re painted using a matte lacquer. What a ball ache!!! Worth it though.

That hugger ^^^^ is for sale if anyone is interested.

    www.carbomoto.com (Germany)

    www.motocomposites,com (Canada & USA)

www.tekarbon.com (USA)- you have to ask for it.

Out of these I would choose carbomoto for the best quality. Motocomposites has the most different parts. But there is definitely more sites out there. Including ebay if you search for it.
