    I love outdoor cooking, during the summer I cook a lot on the BBQ but lock down and being at home has moved me into Low 'n Slow smoking. eg slow smoking Briskets, Jacobs ladders, pork butts etc.

    Would love a Kamado Ceramic Type smoker but opted for a much cheaper Bullet (Water) Smoker.

    A 10h plus smoked brisket with an appropriate dry rub is another level.

    Anyone else into outdoor cooking?

    Use my Barbee 12 months a year, neighbours think I’m mad, standing out there in all weathers.

    They actually seem to be doing quite well, due to the queues I try to avoid.

    must say I enjoy BBQ & use to do it regularly all year round with a fuller house.
    Now it is too much hastle for just one person. So mine is slowly rusting under it's outdoor cover! I made a mistake of buying a 3 burner one which is too big to cook & clean for one person.
    I used it a lot for grilling smokey or smelly food or to melt the fat away.

    Have you tried grilling ribs, part cooked then cooking it is a sauce (chilli, tomate, herbs etc...)? :)

    Oh yes, Baby back, spare ribs and Jacobs ladder etc , rubbed with spices. Smoked at 110-120 until a bark forms, wrap then bring to about 90 internal, then brush on sauce until caramelised - oohhhh fall off the bone!

    Younger son got a Weber smoker for his birthday from all of us as it cost a fortune and has spent every day of lockdown in his garden with his tongs. It helped we had an old apple tree which we cut down and he's using for the wood. The brisket is fantastic. Next the dead plum tree is for it.

    I built a brick bbq once and never again:eek::eek::eek:
    First time lit
    Perfect
    Second time wind in a different position bollo#s burnt
    Third time not enough heat
    Nether again:mad::mad::mad::mad:
