D46768A2-5A28-458B-A3A3-03B12EA83367.jpeg Just bought my first one piece leathers and found trying on a 40 it was a tad loose in places and then tried and bought a 38 and fitted snug everywhere although belly and hips was a tad tight but the guy in the bike shop said I’d be better going with that as they will stretch a tiny bit and then be perfect.
They don’t feel uncomfortable or restricting on the bike but other then trying to lose a few more pounds around my gut I’m hoping they give a tiny bit!!
Has anyone else found they do stretch at all?

Yep all my 1 pieces have stretched as they soften up with wear . My Astars gave that much over the years I had to have them taken in!

Always found that sliding along the track around 100mph and doing the tumbleweed bit into the cat litter has always loosened mine up a bit ;)

They are very restrictive and a proper fitting one will not really feel comfortable unless you’re on the bike and giving it the beans.

without a doubt the safest option though and what I’d go for if I were on track. For road use, i much prefer 2 piece leathers. More practical for me. And being vertically challenged, finding a off the shelf one piece suit wasn’t the easiest.

I’ve got an Alpinestars Atem suit and after 2 track days, 2 road rides, and a lot of sitting around in it at home - it’s still no more comfortable then when I first got it :D

I like my leathers to be a slightly tighter fit, they are supposed to be snug and a good set will have stretch panels in all the right places!

One place i find most leathers don't have stretch panels is around the belly area! I keep a Wok under my leathers in this area so that in the future....should I develop a pot belly, my leathers will be pre stretched so I won't need to buy a bigger size.

Lozzy used to do this years ago, she used to put two Woks in the arse area of her leathers and now its paying dividends! :D

I’ve had my BKS 2 piece for ten/eleven years now. As a thin early twenties lad it fitted perfect. over the years, with age, its loosened but then again so has my stomach and they still fit great. Had a small slid and held up really well; didn’t even break the stitching!

I have a seamstress contact whose a dab hand at leather work too ;):)

My first made to measures were MJK. That was 1996 and they're still good. Zips and seams good. Bit tight after Christmas - every year - but comfortable once some flab is lost. Don't think they're available here any more though, not seem them around anyway.

Doesn't look too bad a fit. How does it feel on the bike?

Base layers are always a help getting in and out plus help reduce any 'grabbing' when moving about on the bike.

Upper body area looks good. Oj you have a bit of excess material around your thighs but that's not so bad. The leather will give a bit andcall keathers just get better with age, like comfy old slippers.
Once they are covered in dead flies and general road shit they will look cracking :D

Cheers for replies, on the bike the suit feels perfect and plenty of movement around the crotch area when I’m moving about so it’s more when I’m off the bike they feel hunched and holding my belly in a tad!!

Is it just me, or does anybody else notice at the local cafe, meet, lay by etc etc, the Sunday morning Power Rangers with their pristine knee sliders and £500 boots, helmets etc, all walk around looking like they have shat their pants, they all have the same funny stoop like they need the services of an osteopath.

Stooping is the least of my probs. I find it's bloody impossible to get the wheel chair on the pillion seat too. I generally tow it.:D

Santa clause brought me some new lovely 1 piece leathers and at the moment I'm glad it's pissing down and Boris insists on locking down because in all honesty I might struggle to get in the said brand new and expensive leathers if allowed out
I could of course go on a diet but my mental well being couldn't cope with that:rolleyes:

They won’t stretch that much. Mine are sized 40, should have gone for 42... ( middle bloke in pic)

they where super tight when I got them, still are, even after 18mths and been rained on and worn in for months. I can’t get a back protector in, and are still tight round the legs, chest and arms.... my old leathers stretched brilliantly, only got rid after 2 offs as the tarmac holed them..these haven’t stretched at all.

I’m getting rid and getting a 2 piece .... yours seem a much better fit.
