So having moved away from litre sports bikes in a effort to keep myself out of jail, I've now spotted a new 2020 model RSV4 RR at Wheels for £12995. Seems like a bargain to me. Now seriously considering whether I need to do the V4 thing and trade the Speed in.
I filled in the value my bike form earlier, think I may be sadly disappointed, but we'll see. I may have also got myself mentally into the saddle regardless, which isn't a good place to be. The 3.9% APR is looking good though.
DF as we all know when you put your current cherished Motorcycle in for part ex, set yourself up for major disappointment.
Hoping to hear back about this today, but preparing for px disappointment. Hopefully it's been a slow start to Q1 and they'd like to do a deal.
Does look like a really good deal that mate, you might be surprised by the px offer yet! Go for it i say!!
That does look like an awfully good deal. Budget for an exhaust.. after all you want that full fat V4 sound! Q: whats the difference between that and the factory? I'm just wondering if it is a massive difference, in every day terms.
I was on eBay yesterday looking at exhausts. The Factory is full semi-active Ohlins, forged wheels and an extra 100cc = 13bhp. The reviews are saying nothing you'd really notice on the road for the extra ££££'s. The RR puts out 201bhp, which I think is probably enough for a Sat/Sun morning run.
For me it would be an Austin Racing can! They are loud though. You are right, the normal version is probably too much for the road as it is. As are any of these litre bikes (but thats the fun in it for me)
I'd need to be careful with cans, the guy next-door works shifts and has a 9 month old boy. Wheels have just come back saying they only have the silver left, which suits me. I've done my time with matte finishes. They've asked for some pics and a few more details of the Speed for the valuation. We'll see I suppose. If it's well out there's no issue me keeping the Trumpet for another summer.
I've already been working out scenarios in my head and how much I'd be willing to contribute. If they're cheeky with the px because of the deal, I'd rather wait and ride the Duke V2 and RSV4 Factory. I only looked at this because I love a bargain. I may even test ride the new Speed. I'd probably not buy in the first year after hearing about how many development engines they blew up to get the power figures.
Same here. guy across the road works shift patterns. I do be careful not to wake him when he's been on nights. Mine too is matte black, as was my previous CBR650R. Next one needs to be a bit brighter, and something I can polish occasionally!!
Yeah my 2018 Blade was matte black, never really had a problem with it but I do like a bit of polish. The RSV's about £500 out on what I'd be willing to swallow px wise, so I've given them a chance to close the gap, but I'm not holding my breath. Told them I'd be quite happy hanging onto the Speed for another summer. It was worth a look but I'm not that desperate to swap.
£9500 - 2020 reg with 1700 on the clock. Fortunately I rinsed the dealer on the sale with the Speed, but I'd want them to contribute more. Problem is they're saying they've knocked £3k off the RSV and it's on a special low rate APR.
