As above do you run normal unleaded or super like vpower etc?
I always run vpower in my van to keep it running sweet and had it in my 600rr but the guy who bought it off me reckons running these bikes on super isn’t right and can burn valves out or something?
Wondering what you lot run in your fireblades on the road?

    V-power only:D
Put normal in once thinking it can’t make a difference but I think it did( in my little head)
    So v-power it is;)

I agree pal my 600 used to just idle a little smoother I thought and a tad crisper on the throttle, my van was remapped on the rollers with vpower and the guy said keep using it as he swears by it over normal diesel, I’ve had 1-2 times I’ve had to fill up at a supermarket and next cold morning start it was chugging and engine wasn’t as quiet.
Just abit concerned about the comment I got from the 600 buyer that it burns Japanese bikes engine valves out!
I’d have thought that was much older bikes like back in the leaded days

Always super unleaded from a decent garage (BP, Shell, Esso).

I prefer VPower, but there are not many Shell stations round my way.

It definitely makes a difference.. they have more additives to protect the fuel system and the motor.

VP Racing C12 Racing fuel or RX102.... Not cheap mind! And you can’t just nip down your local to fill up!

    V power in the bike.

Still use shell in the car but just the normal stuff and only shell as the garage I pass on my way to work has a cheap fuel day once a week which makes it similar to the supermarkets.

Anything seems fine in mine, usually use Tesco unleaded just every now and then superunleaded if I'm feeling extra kind - never notice a difference though.

Only time I ever noticed a difference was with my Sierra - Esso unleaded made engine pink like crazy, no other fuel did!

Esso Supreme is your best bet. It is the one that doesn't have alcohol in it (in most parts of the country). Shell V power does gave alcohol in it I believe. Lack of alcohol, higher calorific value, low ash and better additives are your benefits compared to the cheap stuff.

Esso supreme or V Power here. Never usually use anything else although have tried Sainsburys super unleaded a couple of times recently and not noticed any change. As it was 115p a ltr was worth a go.

Cheap stuff and never had a problem. I do throw a few bottles of redex through them during the winter months just to help stabilise the fuel and to put some 'cleanering agents' through the system. I do it to the lawnmower too.

Always used the best fuel then the garage did not have any for a couple of months so used the cheap, could not tell the difference, still went back to the expensive when it came in

Depends where I am. Usually super, although If I’ve not timed it right standard unleaded. If supermarket always the super. Car I couldn’t care less about so the cheapest shit I can find that won’t turn my fuel filter red...

I use both and am not anal about any however I do believe that high octane fuel runs smoother. Not so much that I fill up with it every time but in my opinion there is a difference.

Your bike would not benefit from the higher octane of v power unless it is modified for CR or timing.
Depending on the state of it’s internals, you may be benefiting from the additives in it, lube and detergent.
I go high octane in the summer when it goes past 20° but below that specially during winter the regular octane for which the bike is designed for runs better and smoother
