Hi, Does anybody know how the SC57 airbox flapper activates? I've recently bought an 04, but the airbox flapper is constantly open. I've tested the vacuum and flapper works just fine. Just curious when it should be open and closed. Any guidance would be great....
They are open in neutral. Then close when in gear , then re open at 5000 rpm while riding. You should hear a change in induction noise whilst riding at around 5000 rpm , , , , , something like that Easy to remove as well
Plug the vacuum hose up to disable it. Best mod ever for these bikes. It made the throttle much smoother on my RR6.
