It was only a matter of time before Marquez's crashes caught up with him. While its a shame he missed the whole season, it proved to be one of the best in recent years. I like Marquez but his dominance became monotonous. All three champions fully deserving of the titles they've won and some great riders moving into the top class next year too. Can't wait for it all to start over again! I just hope Aprilia can get a top class rider on the Gp21 bike. They need a proven race winner on that bike, its not that far behind in all honesty. Espagaro got his season best finish on Sunday but he's never going to win a race is he? 10 years of trying says not! I don't know what the answer is but it isn't the rumoured Joe Roberts, I mean where did that come from??
Looks like Joe Roberts has swerved Aprilia, its for the best.....he needs another year in Moto 2 to even warrant a ride in Moto gp!!
Aprilia need to polish their act up.The way their legal team went about the Iannone case was amateurish. The court was left with no option in law. They did appear to have some momentum regarding their bike but don’t seem to maintain the same type of drive and progress that others have. They need to wake up if they want to be considered in a cutting-edge sport. School report would read “must try harder” !
Who fell off the mostestest.... I see another Marquez following his brother's lead...... Image courtesy of MotoGP website
Tech 3 KTM have been tango'd........so much better than that metallic blue and silver combo from last year. A KTM has to be orange!!!
The Ducatis looking good this year too.......think we'll see alot of new colour schemes this year as its the only upgrades teams are aloud to do!!
Not sure if the colour schemes are tested for how they look on TV. I am sure Casey Stoner's Ducati was more orangey red because it looked better on TV at the time. I wonder if there is any of that going on with choice of colour schemes. I still think the Repsol Honda colour scheme stands out really well on TV and in real life at the track.
RIP FAUSTO .......been a part of the paddock for so long. As the caption says 'say hello to Marco and Daijiro'
I'm inclined to agree with Lorenzo, while I like Miller he's hardly set the world on fire since his arrival in the Premier class. Where as Jorge arrived as a two time world champion, won races in his first year and went on to win 3 moto gp world titles!! Quite frankly Mr Shankly i think he has the right to say what he pleases
I remember when Miller won at Assen in 2016 - lashing down with rain it was (I was there ). People thought that Rossi's experience would come through - but he fell off. Lots of people fell off - Lorenzo came 10th. Even Marquez couldn't pass him and decided to call it quits and come home in second - the first time I had seen Marquez do that. Miller had him beaten.
Yep, I think only 3 people finished the race though so the odds were in his favour!!! Galant effort non the less
