On the way home from work the MIL light lit up along with HESD and FI warnings on the dash. I carried on home and as soon as I got home I saw the MIL light flashing. 1 long flash followed by 1 short one. Turned the bike off and restarted it and no warnings.... I'm confused, what dose this mean??
Blue, not sure if this is the same as happened to you but I did remember this thread from a while back mate. http://1000rr.co.uk/general-1000rr-discussion/2127.htm
Mine is a different code. 1 long 1 short. code 11. Just googled it, Faulty speedo sensor or wiring. Just checked the price of a speedo sensor. £145 and i dont think that includes the VAT.
As i have turned the ignition off dose this mean it wont show up with the fault code again? just save it in its memory?
Did you remove the exhaust valve cables when you change your can? I believe you have to reset the servo motor to clear the F1 warning light
lol you can PM me anytime mate Here have a read.. you have the correct code... PM me your address and I will send you the full service man on CD for 2004 blade?
Sounds like you have a connector loose so check them, the HESD is dissabled if the speedo sensor or loom fails in MIL state 11 hence the HESD lamp too..
Will carry on riding it to work for the rest of the week, will then get my multimeter out and all the pannels off over the weekent for a full check over.
Post CD for you in morning mate... Would email but 350mb and net is SLOW here! And I've put some others on too..
Well..... Rode to work this morning, No MIL light. Rode home, The MIL light came on at exactly the same point as it did yesterday. Showing the same error code. On sat I will get out my multimeter and a can of wd40, Disconect all the conectors, do the checks and spray them with wd40 to get rid of any water.
No, Its The A31 which then goes on to become the M27. Comes on as i hit the turn off for burley. Will come home a different way tomorrow just to see what happens lol.
