Correct. Though when I queries the paste with Racefit (John) he said it's not necessary, gases simply blast through and rarely if ever work back to the join.
Makes sense, although they supplied a tube of Racefit branded silicone with mine. Probably belt and braces which is typical from my experience with the company.
I thought i would put up some thoughts after riding the bike today with the baffle in. Its made a huge difference and for me riding is more pleasurable and less dominated by noise. I dont hear the exhaust anymore on the motorway and i can hear the engine noise for the first time. It still barks but is not so offensively. I think i will be leaving it in for the foreseable.
I hope so, yesterday was my first ride with it so i will keep an eye on it, if thats what can happen.
Racefit finish is awesome on the welding, but, I must say the fixing for the baffle looks a little 'agricultural', still no one will see it unless their nosing around your rear end!
