You guys are gonna love this one! I now have a 1000RR8 set of headers, cost £14.41. They are 3mm bigger o/d pipes and they are spaced 5mm further apart than my RRW exhausts. Also they are 80mm too close to the engine underneath!!! so to get them to fit I am gonna have to extend the headers by 80mm vertically and squeeze them by 5mm, provided they plug into the head ok. Any thoughts or advice. The reason, it costs a lot more for RRW headers???:D:D:D:D and these are bigger bore, but lighter. I do hope they are stainless and not Ti

Why's that mate. Is it cos titanium is harder to work or are they problematical?

Yes mate, from what Arthur and some others have said, Ti is gonna be more trouble than it's worth. If they are stainless I stand a good chance of fitting 80mm extension pieces into the header vertical sections, so that the manifold will clear my sump and it will give me enough adustment to squeeze the header inlets closer together to fit my head. ust need to remove the RRW headers to check the header inlet collars are the right size. The clamp bolt spacings look good enough!!! Lookin forward to this, as when I get a spare set of headers to fit and a silencer on the end of em, I can chop the RRW linkpipe off the manifold and make a new one, that will actually do some silencing.

Thanks Arthur. that's great. I have 1mm stainless cutting discs and some 38mm bore and 38mm o/d 304 stainless tubing. Gonna have a play next week when I have 5 days off work. Gonna try my new can on the road tomorrow or Friday depending on weather!!!

I buy em in packs of ten and they don't last long in my Makita grinder. I also have a 14" Makita cut off saw, but the discs are 3mm thick. Need to find thinner discs for that badboy???

I find if gentle they last a little longer, I have used loads of makes of them and find the Wurth disc's very good, 100.00 for 100 disc's and a free Hitachi grinder (45.00ish) so not too bad.. I need a free hand laser or something....lol

I'll try the Wurths next time I run out mate. Have about 20 to get along with. What's INOX stainless Arthur? Will it weld ok to 304 ?

Its just another blend of stainless steel I think mate much the same as 316 so I am told as had a high purity..

    See here
Stainless steel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I have never had a problem welding (mig) to it with both mild steel and 316 or 304 wire..
