Hi, I didn’t get a lot of chance to ride it after I bought it so it’s going to be fun with the new mods.

With most mods when you alter one thing it affects numerous others and with fitting the sp titanium tank it’s shorter so I made a couple of small carbon brackets to hold it but the main problem was the sp fuel cap is a smaller diameter and the tank breathers are different so I had to order a few other parts, Harris supplied the sp fuel cap and Fowler’s the sp fuel cap base plate, breathers and rubber surround, next thing was the original tank cover didn’t fit the fuel cap so a crc hrc cover was ordered and steve at chase resprays copied the original design with some mods to fit the new shape cover. This is the original cover. DD14EF1E-86B1-4DE4-9C5B-C9F6105CEA55.jpeg

624A2AEB-BF09-4B28-B20C-B29802BE3FE5.jpeg It originally had a robbymoto screw on fuel cap and I’ve found in the past that this type can get difficult to unscrew, usually in the middle of nowhere so I ordered a Harris cap as I’ve a few of these and have never had a problem,

Any chance you could grab a snap or two of how they setup/mounted the headlight behind the race fairings please Warren? Quite curious about the setup there...

Please do mate, I've toyed with the idea of running track fairings on a road bike and keeping it fully MOT'd and able to ride at night; my first ever road bike, an RVF 400, was setup that way with a single headlight when I bought it and I loved it.

I've been wanting to store my original fairings for some time, and have been contemplating running a Chinese set like some people do, but I think you've given me the inspiration to go the track fairings with a headlight route instead...

Man you really love Fireblades huh? That's now two utterly iconic versions of the bike you've got for yourself you lucky man you.

That WSB spec bike must be absolutely incredible to ride.

Strange thing is I’ve never been a Honda man, only other one I’ve owned was my first bike an mtx125 which was 30 years ago, they just never floated my boat for some reason and then within a year I’ve bought these two.

Just in case anyone is looking at putting the later 2017 onwards sp titanium tank on an sc59, yes they do fit but you need two small brackets at the rear of the tank as the sp tank is shorter, I made mine out of carbon fibre sheet, you also need the breathers for the sp tank as they’re different and the fuel cap base plate and rubber surround , also the fuel cap as the sp is smaller so you then need the tank cover, I used a crc hrc style cover, it then fits nicely, nothing is straight forward

Looks good mate. Just out of interest what sort of money is the engine work? I want to replace the 3rd gear on mine so was contemplating some tuning work at the same time.

I know what I paid but Hard to say what you want as I had high comp pistons, super finished gearbox with ceramic bearings, stm slipper clutch, intake kit and power commander.

The sicom brakes have been a problem on this, I ordered them last year and a few weeks later booked it into wratthal’s for the engine work, this took quite a bit longer due to brexit and covid and a knock on with the brakes, I eventually got the brakes but had to wait for the bike, get the bike back and fire the discs on to find the pads don’t fit the calipers,, hps get onto sicom who drag their feet so Giles offered to lend me a new set of M4’s that they do stock sicom pads for, I eventually put my brain into gear and realise that my rsv has M4’s and I can fit my nissin’s onto that and put my rsv M4’s on the blade, pointless hps ending up with second hand calipers for no reason and Giles appreciated this and helped me out with some other parts.

Lucky that mate, would have thought that the RSV would have had 100mm spacing on the calipers rather than the 108mm used on Japanese marques.

Would love to see some pics of any of the work your doing, those discs sound bloody awesome!!
