I was under the impression his air bag had gone off so he was struggling to breathe so he unzipped them him self to get rid of the chest protector and make a bit of room........for his lungs!!
Everything seems to be pointing to a zip failure, Alpinestars are pretty quiet about it so far, and Quartararo is deflecting with a don't know what exactly happened. We may never know the whole story but he really should have been black flagged.
Perhaps he had a wasp down his leathers like happened to Crutchlow that time Anyway, he shouldn't be throwing stuff onto the track that could cause trouble for others. Marquez was looking good for a bit.....and excellent power from the KTM
So looks like Vale will return to Ducati next season, doubtful as a rider but who knows! 3 year, 2 bike deal with Ducati and 5 year deal with Dorna to stay in Moto Gp!

The mind boggles as to who might take his place!!! Dovi will probably throw himself into the mix but there are so many young riders coming through moto 3 and moto 2 now! Plus Quartararo will likely be champ this season so makes sense to go for a younger rider.
Don't know why Aprilia would want Vinales. He has been inconsistent even with a factory Yamaha team. If I was team boss at Aprilia I would be asking what Vinales would bring to the team if he could not be a title contender on the best bike currently in MotoGP. Always with the negative waves ......
I don't see them going for Vinales unless Dovi doesn't sign as a rider. Espargaro has done well for them this year so should be safe for at least another year, but it is Aprilla we are talking about here.
Maybe Vinales can find a Ducati to ride - isn't there going to be a lot of them on the grid next year ? Poor merchandise sellers will have a few boxes of Vinales No 12 Yamaha shirts to try and flog .
WTF was Vinales thinking? Is he that desperate he wants to be able to deflect blame to the bike so he does look so bad compared to Quartararo?
