I'm a big fan of your infills. Who did you use? I've just orderered a rear hugger from Carbon2Race. Praying it's good quality kit.
hi pal I bought the tank infills off eBay from China but they came slightly damaged and I had to dremel and make them fit, got my money back on them though for the damage! The air intake carbon trims I bought from eBay China again and they was really good quality https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/373072635167 I’ve bought some carbon from a few uk sites like carbon king and rsmoto an to be honest there’s been no difference in the quality I’ve found!
had the bike since late October and been out on it 2 times pal and neither was in anger either, damp roads and just test rides after rebuilding the wheels and fitting the new brakes. The second time I went out was just to see how the power commander felt and it was certainly smoother on the throttle. Absolutely itching to get out properly now on the summer days with nice dry roads
Must be gutting to have it there and just can't use the shiney new toy! I know the feeling....I had a new blade delivered end of Feb last year and lock down announced early March! I soon made up for it a few months later as I'm sure you will. Let's hope we all see some decent weather this spring and summer
Absolutely killing me now pal, we’re so close to getting out! I got no shame in admitting I’m a fair weather rider, I like a thrash out and no way I’m riding these bikes on cold wet roads. I’m thinking next winter I’ll buy an enduro and get some green lane riding done with a few mates, something I’ve been looking into last few days. Would be more spending out though and I done enough of that on this fireblade
Not much doing lately but nipped the pipe back to racefit to get the logo etched on, what a place that is and the guys a legend! So nice to chat to and can’t fault the exhausts they make, very nice titanium
Now I know why I don’t let kids in my car. , and the wife would be scared to even suggest eating something in it. , not that she even likes going in it, as she reckons it about as comfortable as sitting on the back of a bike
Bike looks great, and your “garage” looks pretty well decked out too with all that wood on the floor and a radiator to keep it warm on those cold dark winter nights
Not much doing lately other than some rear hooks fitted and I made some blanking caps for the frame with abit of chopping and then using rubber glue to hold them in and if I ever take them off they won’t leave any glue marks behind! Thought I’d give it a try for the sake of £5 for a few blanking plugs
Looking good Glen. Where did you get your rear hooks from? These would provide ideal securing points for rear luggage.
Cheers pal they’re from a guy people use on here, he charges £33 inc postage and they come in plain silver but I painted mine. Here’s his email, just message him and he’ll have you some done and posted within a week or so! [email protected]
Well after not getting out on it much then finally getting out after may’s washout and then not being impressed with the power which turned out to be the power commander plugged in wrong(my fault), I had the throttle position sensor plugged into the maf sensor so the pcv wasn’t getting throttle readings and in turn everytime I gave it some beans it felt as fast as a 600 so I put the bike up for sale thinking I was bored of it however after connecting it right I’m in love with it now and barely open the throttle wide open so decided to keep it and in turn spend some more money on it like you do I’ve just fitted this Honda racing rear hugger in place of the little carbon hugger I had fitted and I’m collected the front Honda racing hugger this week(more money)!! I’ve got a dynojet quickshifter kit that’s apparantly just a rebranded translogic kit so gonna fit that this week when I receive a new shift linkage rod for it and then I’m not spending anymore! Can’t think of anything else to buy for it
