3 words .....THE SHAP ROAD!!!! Another 3 words.......OH MY GOD!!!! Sorry no pictures........was riding to dam fast to stop
It was worth the trip up then ,,,,,@Manfred & @Kevin1 introduced me to it ,, yep its in my favourite list of roads now
The shap road Gutted we have not got anything like you boys have got and you have to go so far before you even get anything nice Went on the coast road Saturday and wished I hadn’t Froze the brasses off
That Shap road is effing fast with effing fast corners I really do think we have some of the best roads in the country round us , that route that @Manfred took (top of the page) is just bend after bend after bend ,,,,,,,, we don't get squared off tyres up here Bazza
Nice evening so over to the Dock then to Knott End for a nosey , not been on Wednesday bike night for a couple of years .not many there and the last half mile of road there is the worst I have riden on
Great ride over The Shap Road today stopping only for bacon butties and coffee before doing it all again in reverse. Nice to see that some sections have been resurfaced and very grippy
Was out and back home by 9.30 this morning…too hot for leathers. Cracking at that time of day, there’s not many morons out and about. Got loads of wheelie practice in as well
After a 2 month hiatus due to a back injury, finally back on the bike today, what a mistake to make, nose to tail traffic, closed roads due to the constant Kentish plague of roadworks and finally on the hugely fast Military Rd outside Rye a massive head on bike/car crash which closed the road whilst they extracted bodies into ambulances, rider was apparently alive thankfully.....not a great day at all. And to top it all when I got to Rye Quayside, Mr Whippy had decided to catch up on last years loss of takings, by charging £2.50 for a 99 that equated to about a mouthful, hope his fecking engine blows up. On the plus side the front end rebuild and setup I completed just before knackering my back as made the NC even sweeter than before, best it’s been in my 8 years of ownership.
Out at 5 am this morning over to Devils Bridge, Sedbergh, hook a left to Kendal, back through Nook past the Bridge again on to Ingleton, Ribble head then across to Settle, then Glasson Dock for a cool down and brew nice n cool at that time in the morning, not much traffic 145 miles
Out with Di in the Peaks earlier when it was quieter and cooler....but she's got hit by a van on a dual carriageway on her way home. Looks like she's bounced like I did, and got cosmetic injuries only thank god. Leathers are wrecked and SP looks a write off
