At long last, a day off and dry roads, well almost dry. Went for a quick ride today, on the bike of course ;).

My first ride with the Corsa screen fitted. It was a bit windy today, but it seems an improvement over stock, it is a bout 2 inches higher, but fairly narrow. I am still getting shoulder buffetting at higher speeds with my textile jacket on. It should be better with the leathers on.

I was hoping for no buffetting on the shoulders at all, perhaps I will try another screen if this happens when I have my leathers on. It only disappears when fully tucked in and that is not so comfy.

The roads were a bit muddy in places and I had to hunt some dry lines out through the forest bits but it was a really nice ride.

Getting out on the bike really makes me happy, I get a right miserable git after a couple of weeks without riding.

Had to do quite a bit of cleaning when I got back though, there is so much salt still on the roads. Took the opportunity to also remove the rear pegs and the bike looks much better.

Nice one mate, agree with you though, still loads of salt on the roads so I'll be hanging on a bit longer before I venture out.

I had a quick run at the weekend. It was colder than a witches tit, but at least I've reminded the cylinder head what oil tastes like.

Yeah JD I really had to think about the salt, but then I really needed a ride and I just had to suffer the cleaning.

Cold Ken ! Oh yes it was cold, not sure if it was as cold as a witches tit though, the misses hasn't let me close to her lately........glad she can't read this ! I hope.

Yep it was worth it Giv, so nice to just wind that throttle and watch the scenery flash by, I need a full time bike valet, that would be cool. I could justgo out and ride it in any conditions and have someone else do all the cleaning and polishing..........if only. I won't be asking the misses if she wants the job though. she would probably kick the bike over.:)

The bike seemed to be running a little fast on tickover though, even when it was warmed up. As it goes in to have the full exhaust system PC, and custom map etc done in March I will leave it until then.

Salts not the issue out here, its mud. It must be the farmers annual let’s see how much mud we can throw up on the “Mud on Road” signs annual competition. Only been to London and back and my car looks like I have done a forest stage of the RAC rally. Still it will keep the Eastern European car wash boys in chapped hands at the weekend. There must a bylaw that says they have to clear up the mess. Perhaps there is, they just cant read it !

Yep Freedom the mud was an issue today, had to reduce speed and change line loads of times. It is one of the perils of living on the suffolk/norfolk borders, too much farm and forest land. Also had to dodge a few roaming deer as well. At least it keeps me alert...and more than just a little scared sometimes.

You want to ask Tucker about dissing his missus on here. Dangerous ground dude.

Oddly we've not got much mud around here at the minute. Cowshit, but not much mud.

Hi Exfire. We get a lot of wild roe deer around here as well, Ling has been putting out carrots and parsnips by the bushes in our field and three of them are now coming on a regular basis. She still can’t get near them yet but they are getting more trusting as time goes on. Beautiful creatures.

Come on Ken I need more info....would love to hear about blaggers getting into trouble.

Does Arthur like venison or is there some story where a deer got in the way ?

Freedom, the little buggers come in my front garden sometimes and eat all the fresh shoots on my shrubs, they don't take long to demolish plants, they have a healthy appetite.Last year I nearly hit a stag, it was huge, either that or a horse going to a fanct dress party.

So do I fella, but I am trying really hard to restrict it to rodents. However, if the arrogant bitch at the stables doesn’t control hers dogs soon she is going to gain a new eye socket in the middle of her oversized interbreed forehead. Now were did I put the keys to the cabinet.

Eye shots are tough mate. A lot of heavy bone on the front of the skull. Best try for the joint between the occipital and the Parietal bones. Open that head up like a Terry's Chocolate Orange.

    What?
