Can anyone shed any light on what's going on here and what the remedy is..

Looks like the oil is either coming from the black rubber bung or from the case seal somewhere at the top.
only shows up after a ride out, not when engine running for a while ?

    thanks IMG-20211016-WA0004.jpg IMG-20211016-WA0005.jpg IMG-20211016-WA0008.jpg in advance

Have the same on my 07, would only show after some laps on the track (track bike). Ive just taken the cover off last week and found the black rubber bung was completely perished on the inside. I bought a new stator, gasket and some Hondabond. Will be putting back together shortly and hopefully sorted.

Quite a common oil leak area, Honda don't use a gasket on the stator cover, they use "gasket bond" which is a liquid silicon type sealant. The stator cover leaked on my 2014 model so I bought an aftermarket "paper/material" type gasket which solved it. Take the cover off and have a look what condition the wiring rubbers etc are in.

Yes, I found there are plenty of sellers on eBay offering paper gaskets. I plan on using this combined with Hondabond around the rubber.

Ah brilliant, thanks all for the reply.
I was going down the line of buying a new Stator and having to replace the whole lot.
The bikes only clocked 15k and starts on the button with plenty of juice so i believe the stator is in good nick.
I'll set about getting a new gasket n bonding solution, once again, much appreciated for the replies ;)
