2004 power commander 3

Hi,
I am in the process of removing the micron end can and link pipe from my bike to put a standard exhaust back on.
Is there any advantage in leaving the PC3 in place?
I assume I will need a different map but if it’s not needed I’m happy to remove it.

If you can find a map, why not.
Gives you the opportunity to tweak the AFRs in the flat spots.

 

From what I’ve read since it seems like a good idea to keep it.
Problem I have now is I’ve hooked the bike up to the laptop and there’s no map at all on the box and I’m blowed if I can find the stock map anywhere online.
I have sent Dynojet an email to see if they can help but not sure with it being 17 years old.

 

I had a PCV on an standard 08 for ages, a zero map should be OK as an interim

 

Well, gobsmacked.

Just swapping emails with Dynojet and in less than an hour they sent me back a custom map to suit the minor mods on my bike, no charge or anything, amazing service!

 

Yes I always found that with Dynojet, great customer service, probably why I have purchased the full autotune and POD display!
