954 gearbox

Here we go again
My son has said he is have a bit of problem with third but has read this article

I fitted one on my 2016 and am pleased with it. Though to be fair I wasn’t having gear change issues or worried about the shaft flexing as such - more the vertical motion of it buggering up the oil seal around it. It’s probably unnecessary for someone of my abilities/mileage and I don’t do aggressive changes. But IMHO there’s nothing wrong with wasting money if it gives a little peace of mind.

 

Had a Gilles shaft support on my rr7 and it seemed to help firm things up.

Still have one on my RR7 and never had an issue.
I wasn’t having issues beforehand but it just seemed like a positive thing to spend my money on

 

I got one recently on my 04. No issues previously but did take some slop out of the shifts

 

I second that ! I had no problems with gears but did hit a couple of false neutrals and since I fitted a Giles gear support it’s never happened again 929. ,

 

yep that's a fooked gear

 

929 gear in and he recons the bike is great
