I have read posts about the rear tyre size messing with the TC or ABS or throwing an error on the dash. I want to fit a Pirelli Corsa SP 190/55 on the rear, will I still get errors if I switch the TC and ABS off?
    Thanks

My understanding is that the bike will be perfectly rideable - you just won't have reliable electronic aids. And that includes the quickshifter!

I'm.sure the American version was delivered with a 55 profile from the factory so there maybe a quick fix in the wiring loom or software??
The 55 will def raise the rear of the bike and make it more nose orientated and will no doubt bugger up the anticipated sensor readings from the abs unit etc as your going to have different rolling circumference distances between front and rear tyres to what the software would expect to see.that said though tyres wear down so a worn out 55 profile is prob similar to a new 50 profile so a certain amount of latitude must be built in.
Cant offer more than that but maybe check some US forums to see if anyone there dropped down to a 50 and see if any comments about it?
    Just a thought.

US bike as all the rest around the world is a 190/50 rear.

You wont get an error in the dash as the bike will not know the tire is different. There s no auto calibration for tire changes, which is why I now hard code tyre size changes for people or offer to unlock the Sport Kit menu so they can change the sizes themselves.''

@dmc12 is correct in that the behaviour will just be unpredictable.

I took the 190/55 info from an american press release so they must have changed the spec later on to a 50 profile.
The 55 shown is under the SP version column with the std blade being the 50. This is why I thought there might be a quick and easy fix to align the electronics to a different size

Yeah Honda America got so any things wrong - we determined that they simply made up most of the nonsense they spewed in late 2016 early 2017.

The SP2 was so badly misrepresented that 90% of the early adopters would have passed had we been told facts not speculation. :D

HI, I noticed you said you're on 55's no problem? I've got teh blade 2019 SP1. Came from the shop (new) on 190/50's. Looking to see if can hop up to the 55's. Did yours always have these or did you swap up from /50's. Did you need to do anything?

I have 190/55 Pirelli Rosso Corsa 2 on my 2017 Blade.

No issues. TC, ABS and Wheel Lift Control all working perfectly in all modes. Have done 1500 miles on these now.
