Well I did an oil change on my yam XTR single. Unfortunately the new oil container has no pouring neck. Careless of me ; I just decided to pour it into the funnel but a lot just dripped from the container onto the top of the bike. Any suggestion on a suitable spray and rinse product to use. ps this is for hidden and unreachable areas
Bilt Hamber Surfex HD is a monster of a degreaser, water based and pretty much safe ( as long as you dont let it dry) on all surfaces. Spray on agitate where you can and hose off
Thanks. I ended up using my trusted kerosene and BH auto foam. I will get some Surfex to keep for future use; it sounds like good product to have in the garage
Surfex in neat form is a beast, look up the dilution ratios for application. i generally use 1:10 for general but neat it will strip grease off chains
Traffic film renover and pressure wash off. Wouldn't be be to worried if it's new oil as long as it's not on braked or tires.
Thanks guys, I used suffex (thanks slick) followed by a normal wash and the ususal silicon spray (8 months ago!) I stayed away from solvants as I didn't want to compromise the out of sight rubber components &electical wiring/ connectors. And leave any oil residue left over to act as corrosion protection
