Nice if they would but unlikely as it’s a 2014 bike, even though it has less than 6000 miles and further, I suspect the problem was caused by the Zero Gravity double bubble focusing yesterday evening’s vicious sun. The dash looks to be still working, I just need to find time during today’s oven-like heat to go test the shift lights are still working. I am debating booking Bedford for Monday…
Seen that happen with some aftermarket screens. They manage to focus the sunlight oike a magnifying glass.
Jesus never seen that before!! Most screens have a blacked out section down at the pointy end and yours doesn't seem to have that from what I can see??
Yes the original does have that. This is a double bubble from Zero Gravity, and it doesn't have that. I guess that's why it happened. I should probably ask @vic_ster51 if he has a binnacle unit available.
You could probably do it yourself with some vinyl sunstrip you can get for cars, maybe even the type that has a gradient like what people used in the 80s!!!
Or you could just park in the shade next weekend.........be pissing it down after that until next year so won't be an issue!!
When parking up some people leave their gloves over the screen I saw a guy last week on a 899 where the screen had done the same ...
Yeah had a couple of Puig screens that came with a visor. Never stuck one on before as I'd never really thought it could happen until now.
Mine has a little visor above the dash, it's a few mm clearance!! It's the heat coming from below you've got worry about on this fuc@#$%!!
There are Chinese replacement cases on eBay. I've considered replacing mine, but it looks like a pain in the @rse job
