    Hi people.
I have brought a 07 1000rr all was fine until the other day whilst i was riding the bike seems to loose all power with the oil light and the hiss light showing then the power will kick back in. This happens at any speed and under normal acceleration. Thanks

Do you have any stalling issues mate ? When the power cuts is it for a split second and then she continues to run as normal ?

My RR6 did the same earlier this year. Not sure on the right terminology but it was the metal bit you attach either the positive or neutral to, it had snapped inside the battery itself. You could pull the whole thing out, so the bike kept cutting in and out. Left me stranded for 7 hours in the Dales, thanks to the utterly useless AA.

    Replacement battery sorted mine.

A broken electrical connection is likely the best place to look first I guess. Check all the fuses and wiring to see if anything is broken or corroded.

Could have dirt in the fuel tank causing blockages, so don't rule this out.

I had this issue with my 07 when I had incorrectly re-fitted the tilt sensor in the nose. Certain riding conditions was enough to trigger and cut out with the same symptoms. Mounted it correctly and it sorted it

I can move the positive terminal so it looks like its a new battery

If you switch the ignition on and wiggle the terminal that should tell you for sure. It’ll cut on and off if that is the source, as per mine.

Conscious that the diagnosis suggested may need a health and safety warning with it, so wear rubber wellies and try not to use your tongue to wiggle the terminal.
