So I recently took up Hiking, came out of no where really......I was talking to a mate of mine and he said he does a bit and I thought to myself......Im up for that!! I've spent the last few months getting some kit together and getting a few hikes under my belt and I love it. I'm doing as much as time will allow me, mostly in the Peak District as its near to me but I'm looking at the Lake District soon, then Scotland!! I'd like to hear of any hikes you guys have done in the Peaks or Lakes etc.....post codes and car parking locations would really help me out as well. I'm fully motivated but the lack of knowledge on where to go might hamper my progress. Big mountains is my main aim, something with a summit is what will get me out of bed! Its true what they say though, it really is the great outdoors and its good exercise for the body and helps de-stress the mind!! One from the weekend
Waiting for @Lozzy to day something like “didn’t think you could get any slower, I was wrong” Seriously though, I used to enjoy hiking and wild camping, I ought to do start doing it again.
C'mon lads.... CAPTION COMPETITION First prize....1 pair of hardly worn hiking boots. Never seen mud. Has a slight Soy Latte stain on left toe. Only done similar miles to owners Panigale.
Yorkshire 3 Peaks is a good hiking day out. Me and the wife did it last summer, it’s about 24 miles and it took us 10 hours. We did it with this company: https://www.threepeakschallenge.uk/yorkshire-three-peaks-challenge/ They were really good but you can do it without going via an organised set up. Horton in Ribblesdale seems to be a popular start/end point, they’ve got parking, loos, etc.
Eeh up lad.....whats that flapping about t'int distance over thar .......bye eckers like its only Lozzys Nora Batty knickers on't washing line in her back yard !!
Snowdon on Sunday, Pyg track up, Miners track down........hardest hike to date. Might as well have been Everest!!!
