    Another easy answer for the ones that would know . I need a new battery for my 929 2001 firblade? I have a sp2 vtr 2004 ..which i bought..to stay in the house where it belongs lol.. as got for collection ...I took the battery out to put in the firblade ..would getting one of these still be OK?? What it says on the battery doesn't mean much to me lol? Yusa..8.4Ah(20HR)/135A(CCA) 12v 8Ah (10R) YTX9 super MF parental..won't let me upload pics?

    Not quite sure what you’re asking but the owners manual of each bike will tell you the yuasa part number you need. I’d be a little surprised if both batteries are identical but if they physically fit you will be ok.

    Thanks...I ordered the Haynes manual just the other day waiting to get it . Was just thinking would it be OK swapping the sp2 one to the blade...

    The battery you took out the SP2 (YTX9-BS) looks like it will be physically bigger than the space available in the fire blade battery tray. If it fits then it will probably be OK.

    go to an on line battery shop and find out the battery spec for your bike. In fact yuasa website would do this for you.
    then you will know if the vtr battery is suitable. The 929 might need yuasa YTZ10S or equivalent

    If the vtr is from 2004 and been kept as a showpiece will it’s battery be any good 19 years on o_O?

    It was a new battery Put in it when I bought the sp2 so its fine...

    They’ve got tyre warmers quite cheap too. Might get some and adjust em for road tyres.

    Yea mines just a bog standard blade , no abs or anything so just got that one I linked in.
    Was well happy with the price lol
