2007 1000rr front fairing

    String winds lifted the cover I had on the bike and it broke the front fairing and shield, anyone know.wher.i can get a good replacement

    FWIW I reckon that would plastic weld back on, or use a fibreglass patch on the back. Especially with the screen bolt holding it in position at the top.

    Yeah I was thinking on a fiberglass option might be better, a new original one on ebay same colours is €650, the Chinese ones are around 160 but don't know if they are a good fit

    I had a full Chinese fairing on my 2005 and found the fit good and way cheaper than OEM

    They do the metal welded in reinforcement, the gun heats them up and you just push them in,

    You’ve said you want a good replacement so I don’t think the repair will suit you.
    For me it would have to be the Chinese option or locating a good second hand one.

    I would deffo prefer a replacement part the Chinese option is cheaper

    If you have a heat gun already, with a thin nozzle adapter or a large soldering iron, you can use regular staples as the metal clips for joining bits together.
