I'm gonna order a chain, a chain tool, and a 43T (+1) sprocket, I think. I wanted to go +2 on the back but can't find a 44T anywhere without paying heaps for an ally one.
Don’t scrimp on the chain tool lol. Makes a straightforward job a pain in the ass and you risk either damaging the chain or not being able to complete the master link assembly correctly. Speaking from experience here. Cheers
Nearly mentioned this myself. I've also fallen into the cheap chain tool trap, it was so bad I sent it back for a refund. I ended up with the genuine DID chain tool which is excellent. The Whale chain tools are well regarded also.
43T rear sprocket, Renthal, Light Alloy and didn't last very longer at Portimao last October..... the sprocket did about 5000 road miles and 3 sessions....... Got a Sitta set now..... much much better and more expensive..... but well worth the extra coin.
If you get stuck with chain and sprockets I’ve just removed my OE from a 22 plate bike at 700 miles, all the same fitment for blades, 43T rear, 16T front and the original DID 525 chain with 120 links, all as new condition, would just require a new soft link.
Appreciate that, thanks. I’ve got a DID 530VX chain on the way, and I managed to find a JT alu 44T sprocket that was was on offer.
