HI everyone, Bike arrives tomorrow and while reading through the owners manual (yeah i did that as i'm laid up in bed due to an injury) i realised that there is no gear indicator. Any recommendations on an after market (hopefully plug and play) one? Thanks as ever
There are plenty on eBay, usually a single LED matrix type, quite cheap and they’re all copies of the same thing so get the cheapest one.
I guessed that might have been the case Coda, but thanks for the confirmation. Will wait and see if any 'spare' plugs when bike arrives tomorrow then get one ordered
I don’t think they go on spare plugs, but rather you disconnect the gear shift sensor and plug the unit between it, like you do with speedo healers and quickshifters. At least that’s what I think you do.
I'll have a look when the bike arrives. Some of the more expensive (circa £100) are true plug and play but i think most require a bit of fettling or fitting of a new plug
The one I bought for my R1 from memory had 12v and then connected to the speedo and tacho, you then have to calibrate it, It was relatively easy other than finding the wires
