    Guys,

Trading in my 09 HRC for a new '23 30th edition model, hopefully the bike will be with me in a few weeks time. In the mean time I'm having a look for the usual mods (tail tidy, exhaust, screens, PC etc...)

Anyone got any reccommendations/advice for what is good to go for or what to avoid?

Been a while since i bought new bike goodies so all help appreciated :D

    Cheers

I put an MRA screen on mine. On my test ride I found for me the stock screen obscured the top of dash.

Evotech tail-tidy and lever guards. Leave the exhaust, the one on it sound great and looks the dogs too. GB Racing engine covers, just in case.

The Evotech radiator and oil cooler guards are good too.

I swapped my exhaust for an SC Project and deleted the servo. I think it makes for a smoother response, I wasn't a fan of the step change when the servo opened the exhaust valve.

I actually have a brand new, never fitted, carbon Leo Vince LV 10 if you're interested. I bought it before I picked up the SC Project second hand.

Only picture I have on my laptop, if you zoom in you can see the clutch lever one. Best thing about the Evotech lever guard, are they use the existing Honda inserts inside the handle bars, so cuts down on vibration coming through them.

Any info on Air filters? I'm hearing that pipercross are getting the best write up for the 2023 Model but will need a map to go along with it...and on that note, where's reccommended for a dyno set up these days? Hearing Dynoworks are getting a good write up...can anyone confirm?

One of the few pics from the TT...

    Mod wise so far:

    • Puig Dark Tint Screen
    • Racefit Exhaust
    • Servo Removed/Blanked
    • Evotech Tail Tidy
    • Real Seat Cowl Fitted
    • Evotech Crash Protection
    • GB Racing Engine Covers

    Still do do:

    • Filter (Ordered) - ended up going for DNA in the end...
    • Booked in to Dynoworks in 2 weeks for ECU flash
    • Evotech Rad/Cooler Guard.
    • Evotech Lever Guards.
    • Rearsets (not sure what to go for yet)
    • Possibly looking to De-Cat but will wait and see!

Just received a custom suit from Scott Leathers (Photos to come) and the fit and quality is honestly brilliant, can't recommend them enough

Cut the Cat Converter out the bike last night - sounds absolutely bonkers .

Also got a letter from Honda about a recall to do with the ECU causing engine stall…

Did you just cut it out of the standard headers? I'd be interested in how you did that.

Definitely get it mapped if the cat has gone, they run lean enough with it in. Might as well get the ecu update that is part of the recall done first though.

Yeah, dropped the headers and cut out the cat then welded in a straight pipe in its place... On the engine side of the cat its a bit awkward as where it needs cut is a larger diameter so had to weld in a cone to accommodate it. On the other end i re-used the bottom of the header so that the slip on i have would still sleeve the pipe if that makes sense?

Booked in for Sat (29th) for recall update and then the following week for the map
