"A force representative said the drones would be focused on motorcycles across the Easter weekend. It said bikers were involved in about a third of serious and fatal accidents in Devon and Cornwall, despite only making up about 1% of total road traffic."

They obviously leave out the fact that in a majority of cases it's not the bikers' fault but the dozy cars that hit them.

i will add to that, today, i rode through Matlock Bath, against my better judgement and some utter clown in an Audi Q5 pulled out through queuing traffic from my right with the passenger waving their arm out of the window, was only doing 30 if that, but still had to slam on

they then drove at 20mph, tapping the brakes, presumably lost - that is the sort of atrocious driving that is dangerous, and not accidental

it also gave me a shocking headache that ill be moaning about for days

They’re gonna be promoting bikesafe… it’s a shame that they’re gonna tarnish such a great program by promoting it alongside their heavy handed policing. It’s gonna put people right off.

Gotta say, I'd be pretty pissed off if I was stopped for a 'stop check'. I haven't before but I have seen them being done.

I'd do some safety things too, despite being absurdly anxious about that sort of thing so you are right about it being a bad idea combining them

Living near probably the worst road in Devon. Born agains and 40 plus new riders are most likely to take out their riding buddies on their 220kg + machine's.

Sad but "fashion victim" seems to have a new meaning.
