What do you mean by the dash turned off? Has everything electrical stopped working ignition, oil pressure, high beam, turn, etc or has just the LCD screen part gone off? Is the Rev counter still working?

If you are sure the fuses are all okay and have checked the loom connector/s in to the back of the instrument cluster is/are secure (after checking for any signs of dampness or corrosion) I’m guessing you’re left with either the instrument cluster itself or ecu at fault. Do you have a wiring diagram and can you check for voltage going to the instrument cluster? The other thing to check is earth continuity - that the instrument panel is wired to earth as a corroded earth will cause havoc.

There is no sign of dampness or corrosion that i can see I'll just double check to make sure about it. I have the repair manual there should be a wiring diagram that i can consult and go over with the multimeter as for the earth continuity i have not checked

Because the battery, rectifier, ignition shows the correct voltage all the injector connectors are snug

Do other electrical items work and respond to controls - turn indicators, lights, brake light, horn?

So there’s power at the battery but turning the key nothing at all lights up or happens. Check the battery is connected (earthed) to the frame. Otherwise it sounds like the main fuse or the ecu

There is power at the battery yes I'll check that the battery is well earthed and that the condition of the main fuse. Is there a way to test the ecu?

Happened to my 05 when I was initialy getting it back on the road.
Was the big connector at the back of the dash.
Popped it apart, gave it a spray with contact cleaner and bunged it back in. So far so good.
